Experience

I have a Master’s degree in English Teaching and so would be particularly qualified for tutoring in reading, writing, and literature. I have taught English at the high school level and during the summer at an Upward Bound program. I have also studied philosophy and history/social studies in some depth – I’m currently using both fields in my work on education. For the last four years, I have taught an education course at the undergraduate level. The course invites students into critical reflection about schooling in our democratic society.

I’m delighted to be living again in seacoast NH after four years away in Boulder, Colorado. Most of my time is devoted to finishing up my Ph.D. program in education policy. But, whenever free, I'm taking full advantage of being back home – hiking in the White Mountains, camping, and so on.
